Strain songs are tracks linked to strains. You can play them from Home, from the Music screen, or from a strain page.

Note: This feature may not be available to everyone yet. If it is off, the Strain songs row and the mini player do not appear.

Find a song

  1. Tap the Home tab. Find the Strain songs row.
  2. To see all songs, tap See all. The Music screen opens.
  3. Tap a song card to play it.

On Home, the songs are listed in this order: songs for your active stash first, then songs for your favorites and recent history, then songs for popular strains.

Use the Music screen

  • Search: Type in Search strain songs to find a song.
  • Filters: Filter by strain type, High Family, or genre. To clear the filters, tap Clear filters.
  • Refresh: Pull down the list to refresh it.

The list heading reads Your strain songs when you have two or more. Otherwise it reads Popular strain songs.

Play and control a song

The mini player is a bar above the tab bar. It appears while a song plays, and it stays for a short time after you pause.

  • Tap Play or Pause on the mini player.
  • Tap the bar to open Now Playing.

In Now Playing, you can:

  • Go to the previous or next track.
  • Play or pause the track.
  • Tap Back 10 seconds or Forward 10 seconds to move through the song.
  • Tap Shuffle.
  • Tap the close button to leave the screen.

If a song has lyrics, a Lyrics card appears. Tap a line to play from that line. Tap Back to the current line to return to the line that is playing now.

If a song has more than one recording, use the version picker to choose one. The picker shows the date and version of each recording.

Set how long the mini player stays

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Mini player.
  3. Under Auto-hide after, choose one option:
    • 1 minute hides the player quickly after you pause.
    • 5 minutes is the default.
    • Never keeps the player on screen until you dismiss it.

If a song does not play

  • If you see “Strain songs need a connection,” check your connection. Then try again.
  • If you see “Strain songs didn’t load,” tap Retry.
  • If a track fails during playback, a bar appears. Tap Retry, or tap Skip or Dismiss.
