Professor High privacy and consent
See what you agree to before you chat, what data goes to the AI, who receives it, and how to withdraw your permission.
Applies to the High IQ iPhone app · Updated
Before you chat with Professor High, you agree to send your messages to an AI service. This page explains what that means. You can withdraw your agreement at any time.
What you agree to
The first time you open the chat, you see Before you chat with Professor High. The screen says:
- Professor High is an AI. It can be wrong, out of date, or make things up.
- It does not give medical, legal, or mental health advice. It is not a doctor. It does not diagnose, and it does not recommend starting, stopping, or changing any medicine.
- Do not use it for dosing or to decide how much cannabis is safe for you.
- Cannabis is for adults 21 and over. Laws differ by place.
Every High IQ feature that sends your content to an AI service asks for its own permission first. Agreeing here covers AI chat. AI label scanning, AI receipt reading, AI notebooks, AI shopping recommendations and AI email import (only shown if email import is available on your account) each show their own screen. That screen says what is sent and who receives it. You decide on each one separately.
What data is sent
When you send a question, the following can be sent to the AI:
- Your messages and research questions.
- Images you choose to attach.
- Your saved conversation or research history.
- Saved stash, orders, favorites, preferences, and notebooks that Professor High looks up to answer you.
Who receives it
- Vercel AI Gateway, which routes your request.
- Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, depending on the model that answers you.
- Firecrawl, Exa and TypeSafe AI (Jev). Search queries and strain names taken from your conversation may be sent to these services to look things up.
Withdraw your permission
You can change your permission at any time:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Privacy, then tap AI permissions.
- Find AI chat. It shows Allowed or Off.
- Tap AI chat. It shows what is sent and who gets it. You can withdraw your permission there.
Each AI permission works on its own. Your manual records and the other app features stay available when you turn off AI chat.
Note: A question that you already sent cannot be recalled. Withdrawing your permission only stops new messages from being sent.
If you decide not to agree, tap Not now on the consent screen. Nothing is sent.
