How to set up High IQ on first open

The first open takes a few minutes. You confirm your age, take a short guided tour with Professor High, create an account, then answer optional questions about how you use cannabis. You can leave out any optional question.

Before you start

• Keep your iPhone connected to the internet. The age check and invite code need a connection.
• Have your invite code ready, if the app asks for one.

Steps

1. On the first screen, tap Get started. A short age check and a tour come next.
2. Confirm your age. Tap I am 21 or older. Read Why High IQ checks your age for details.
3. If the app asks for an invite code, type it and tap Continue. Read How to use an invite code.
4. Take the tour. Professor High shows you around your Den, a room that stands for the app. The stops cover search and High Families, your Stash, Notebooks, Professor High, your stats and music. Tap Next to move on.
5. Give your Den a name and pick a light. These choices are just for you.
6. Create your account. The sign-up screen is titled Keep your Den. On iPhone, sign in with Apple, or tap I already have an account if you have one. Google sign-in is available on the web app at app.highiq.app. Read How to sign in or create an account.
7. After sign-up, answer the optional setup questions. They ask how long you have used cannabis, how often you use it, and how many sessions you have on a use day. You can skip any of them.
8. Optional: tell the app which shop you know. Search or type its name. High IQ keeps the details so you can find it later.
9. Pick your first step. You can paste a receipt, take a photo of a receipt, or search a strain. Tap Finish setup when you are done. Gmail receipt import is not available to everyone yet. It is on the web app only for now, and it is not in the iPhone app.

Note: If you tap Not now on the sign-up screen, you go to Home without the setup questions. Your setup choices may not be saved until you create an account.

If something goes wrong

• “Couldn’t save your answers.” Tap the answer again. Your draft stays on the phone until it saves.
• The age check says you are under 21. Read Why High IQ checks your age.

Change your answers later

Open Settings, then Preferences, then How You Use. Your changes save as you make them.

Note: To clear all answers, tap Reset all answers on the same screen.
