How to update how much is left in your stash

Change the amount left on a stash item after you use some, using the card menu or the Update stash screen.

Applies to the High IQ iPhone app · Updated

Update the amount when you use some of a product. An accurate amount keeps your totals and supply estimate correct.

Before you start

Update from the Stash tab

  1. Open the Stash tab.
  2. Press and hold the item’s card. Tap Edit.
  3. Tap a preset, or tap Enter an amount to type your own.
  4. Choose the unit.
  5. Tap Save amount.

Update from the Update stash screen

  1. Tap More, then tap Update stash.
  2. Find the product, then tap Update amount.
  3. Set the amount and unit, then tap Save amount.

About presets and units

The app shows preset buttons, such as Three quarters, Half, Quarter and An eighth. Choose the one closest to what is left. You can also type an exact amount. Count-based items show the number left, such as “2 left.”

When an item is used up

When you set the amount to 0, the button changes to Mark finished. Tap it to finish the item. The app shows “Marked finished. Your history stays.”

Note: High IQ records the amount you enter. It does not measure the product.

Note: If you leave the screen before you save, the app shows a warning. Your unsaved amount and unit are lost. Your saved stash stays the same.

If something goes wrong

  • The amount looks wrong: Check the unit first. Then check the last amount you saved. See Stash amount looks wrong.
  • An order item shows the wrong amount: Open the order and tap Review stash amounts. This opens Update stash, where you can change the amount.
