How to read a notebook in High IQ

Move through the sections of a notebook, check where a note comes from, and use the notebook actions menu.

Applies to the High IQ iPhone app · Updated

Open a notebook from the Notebooks tab. The notebook reader shows the notebook in order, from the cover to the closing section. You can switch between the notebook and your journal.

Steps

  1. Tap the Notebooks tab, then tap Library.
  2. Tap the notebook you want to read.
  3. To move between sections, tap the section bar at the top. You can also tap Contents to see the full list.
  4. To switch views, tap Notebook or Journal at the top.
  5. To see where a claim comes from, tap the claim. The evidence trail opens.
  6. To see every source, tap View all sources.

Understand the labels

Each note has a label. The labels tell you where the note comes from:

  • Your data means it comes from your orders, stash, and log.
  • Published research means it comes from published sources.
  • My read of both means the writer combined your data and published research.

If you want to check a claim, open the evidence trail first.

Use the notebook actions

Tap the menu for Notebook actions. The menu has three groups.

Read

  • How to read this notebook brings back the intro.
  • Versions shows earlier published versions. It appears when there are two or more.
  • Compare notebooks lets you put two notebooks side by side.

Organize

  • Organize notebook lets you change the title. If you leave the title blank, the original name stays. Renaming does not change the notes.

Manage

  • Archive notebook moves the notebook out of your library. Nothing is deleted. You can open it from Archived.
  • Delete notebook removes the notebook and its journal entries. You cannot undo this.

Archive and delete appear only after a notebook is ready or has an error.

Note: A notebook is descriptive. It is not medical advice. Read Safety: before you start before you use any strain. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about health questions.

Still not working?

Frequently asked questions

What do the labels on a note mean?

A label shows where a note comes from: your data, published research, or the writer's read of both.

Why does a section say No data?

The notebook has no information for that section yet. Your records may not include what the section needs.

High IQ is a personal record for adults where cannabis is legal. Follow your local laws. Strain information is descriptive and is not medical advice.
