Account and privacy: common questions
Answers about High IQ Pro, signing in, AI and analytics settings, Gmail access, camera access, signing out and deleting your High IQ account.

This page answers the questions people ask most about your account, your privacy settings and your data in High IQ. Most of these settings are in the Settings tab, which you open from your Profile.
How do I change my AI permissions?
Open Settings, then Privacy, then AI permissions. Each AI feature has its own row with an Allowed or Off status. You can decline or withdraw each one separately, and the rest of the app keeps working.

What is Share usage analytics?
It is an optional switch in Settings, under Privacy. When it is on, High IQ sends account-linked app activity, such as screens you open, features you use and record events, to an analytics provider. Typed notes, photos, your name and your email are not included. Turning it off stops new events, except purchase and subscription events, which are still recorded.

How do I sign out?
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Sign out, then confirm. Your data stays saved to your account. Widgets are cleared from that iPhone.
How much does High IQ Pro cost?
In the United States, High IQ Pro is $13.99 a month or $119.99 a year. There is no free trial. The paywall shows the price for your App Store account.

How do I cancel High IQ Pro?
Open Settings, then Account, then Subscription & Billing, and tap Manage billing. You can also open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose High IQ, and cancel.

How do I restore High IQ Pro?
Open Settings, then Account, then Subscription & Billing, and tap Restore purchases. If Pro is active, the message says Pro is active on this phone.

Can High IQ refund a subscription charge?
No. Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple ID that paid.

How do I delete my account?
If you have an active App Store subscription, cancel it first. Deleting your account does not cancel it, so you could still be charged. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then choose High IQ and cancel. Then go to Profile, tap your photo at the top to open Edit profile, scroll to Danger zone, and tap Permanently delete. Read the dialog titled Delete account, then press and hold Hold to Delete for about 1.2 seconds. A quick tap does nothing. Deletion cannot be undone.

Can I disconnect Gmail?
Gmail receipt import is not available to everyone yet. It is on the web app only for now, and it is not in the iPhone app. If you connected it before, you can disconnect. Orders you already saved stay in High IQ. Google sign-in stays on the web app at app.highiq.app.

What can High IQ read in my Gmail?
If you connected Gmail before, access is read-only. High IQ cannot send, delete, or mark your email as read. Matched email details are purged within 7 days after an import finishes. You can disconnect.

Why does the app ask for camera or photo access?
The camera and photo library are used for label scans, receipt photos and profile photos. To change this later, open iPhone Settings, then High IQ, and turn the permission on or off.

Does the age check save my birthday?
No. High IQ saves your confirmation that you are 21 or older. It does not save your birthday.

Can I change how the app looks?
Yes. Open Settings, then Preferences, then Appearance, and choose System, Light or Dark. System follows your iPhone setting.

Can I sign in with Apple or Google?
On iPhone, sign-in is Apple only. The sign-in sheet offers Continue with Apple. Google sign-in is available on the web app at app.highiq.app.
